Cattelan Italia, established in 1979 by Giorgio and Silvia Cattelan, has a rich heritage rooted in a family tradition of carpentry and woodworking. Giorgio, inspired by his father's expertise in carpentry, founded the company with an unwavering passion for furniture creation.

Initially focusing on producing small marble complements and tables for the export market, Cattelan Italia quickly gained recognition as one of the leading Italian furniture companies. In 1989, in response to evolving market demands, the company expanded its collections to include a wider range of products and materials, including wood, glass, metal, and leather, thereby creating contemporary and stylish interior solutions.

In 1995, Giorgio's sons, Lorenzo and Paolo, joined the company, bringing their unique talents and expertise. Lorenzo, known for his creativity, contributes to the brand's image and also manages a vineyard and agritourism in Tuscany. Paolo, on the other hand, specializes in the commercial aspects of the business, traveling extensively to identify new partners and markets for the company.

Paolo Cattelan plays a pivotal role in the commercial and design evolution of the company, overseeing distribution, design, and style decisions. In 2011, Cattelan Italia expanded its portfolio by acquiring the renowned Florentine company Arketipo, known for its elegant productions. Lorenzo now guides Arketipo with the support of his father, Giorgio.
